O.K., we KNOW it's not completely accurate to call black and white a new trend since it literally never goes out of style, but it looks so good this season. The prints are fabulous, the silhouettes so interesting. Take a look for yourself!

Another Trend That Continues...With a Twist!

Let's talk about jumpsuits.  Dressy jumpsuits were introduced over the past couple of seasons and they've been pretty well received. Even Willow Tree customers have loved a couple of them we've had! 

They're gaining popularity, that's for sure. But this year, designers have shaken it up a bit more and taken inspiration from the "world of industry" to create fashion-forward utilitarian looks with a "couture edge" like leather belts, extra long zippers and oversized buttons. They say that the jumpsuit is set to be the uniform for the chic and sophisticated this season. What do you think? Is Wyandotte ready for them? Are YOU?

Watch for MORE Khaki this Spring

Khaki first hit the runway over 40 years ago. Since that introduction, it's become a fashion classic. This year, it's hitting our industry with a big bang! Watch for military silhouettes, sueded khaki, safari style khaki, skirts, pants, coats, jackets, tops----and more! What do you think?

A Beautiful Color Palette - Welcome Spring 2015!

Getting Close to the End of This Years Color Chart!

Glacier Gray is lovely! Yes, it's more dominant for men than women. It's unobtrusive that contrasts and enhances. It bounces off other shades without taking away from them - and it slips into the background to allow other colors to take center stage. Gray is nature's most perfect neutral. Timeless. Quietly assuring and peacefully relaxing.

Marsala is the Color of the Year

Marsala is a beautiful color on its own but also a wonderful contract to other hues. Bold and daring, it exudes confidence. A little like the wine that gives Marsala its name, this robust shade incorporates warmth and richness with red-brown earthiness. Gorgeous!

They Call it Custard

We are really fond of this mellow and warm tone. Pantone describes it as sweet and sunny, soft and relaxed.  It works back with Classic Blue and reminds us a bit of Toasted Almond.

Tangerine

Tangerine is up next and it's EVERYWHERE! This juicy orange shade is energizing but not jarring to the eye. It's striking enough to stand on its own and adds vitality to a print, too. Fun loving. Bright. Cheerful.

Pretty in Pink?

We're still moving through the annual Pantone Spring color palette and we're loving this years hues. This one is called Strawberry Ice and is suggestive of a cooling and refreshing delicacy yet its warmth as a color is quite appealing. Subtle and charming, it's a "confection color" that emits a flattering and healthy glow. So feminine, flirty and fun.

O.K., we're done with blues and greens and are changing directions here. This addition is bringing balance to the coolness of the Spring/Summer 2015 color range and is called Toasted Almond. A sun-tanned neutral. Timeless, versatile, natural

CLASSIC BLUE

Classic Blue is another of the 10 colors of Pantene's 2015 Spring Palette. Reliable. This color inspired calm, confidence and harmony. This color is one of the "anchors" to the palette.

The Great Colors Continue!

Lucite Green is what they' call it. It's a soothing green shade. Fresh. Clarifying. Cool and refreshing. It's got a "minty glow". Works well with both classic and scuba blue - and you'll see them all in so many prints this season. We're so excited to watch the store transform over the next weeks and months. We really love this time of year.

Another Color of the Season - Pantone Spring 2015 Looks Great!

"Scuba Blue or Turquoise is another great color this season. It's an invigorating turquoise that conveys a sense of carefree playfulness. Even though this is considered a "cool" shade, the vibrancy of scuba blue adds of splash of excitement to the palette. It offers a feeling of escape as it's reminiscent of a tropical ocean. This stirring and energizing shade takes us off to an exotic paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy!"

Yet another huge show at the Sands Expo and Convention Center - located adjacent to the Venetian Hotel. Accessories The Show (ATS) and Stitch are two more GREAT shows that we couldn't do without. Nally & Millie, MiracleBody Jeans, Katherine Barclay and SO MANY MORE of your favorites. 

Add nifty and unique accessories GALORE and we're experiencing brain overload! We've found so many amazing, colorful scarves for our customers. Yes, scarves are still a big trend - and the choices are overwhelming! 

We promise to bring back some great surprises, too!

It's Buying Time and We're EXCITED

Here is just one of the rooms we shop at WWIN while in Vegas. We attend not just one or two, but several trade shows during our week away, so that we can bring the best back to our customers!

One of our shows is called Womens Wear in Nevada (WWIN) held at the Rio Hotel and Convention Center. It's a huge show and we see so many of our lines there.

Lead Color for Spring - Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a lead color of the season. It's an airy blue with a dreamy feel. Cool and calming, ethereal aquamarine is a shade with a wet and watery feel. Open and expansive, this restful blue also acts as a stress reducer. We've seen the color in accessories a LOT this season.  A great stand alone color - that also works well with a couple of the other colors this year.

It's that time again. Pantone's Spring Color Announcement. Believe it or not, our customers ask about it! I think that, like last year, we're anxious and enthusiastic to see some color after the long and cold Winter.

So, without further adieu... "This season there is a move toward the cooler and softer side of the color spectrum. An eclectic, ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature-like neutrals take center stage as designers draw from daydreams of simpler times. Remembrances of retro delights, folkloric and floral art, and the magical worlds of tropical landscapes restore a sense of well-being as we head into warmer months."

It's January Sale Time

We do not adjust our hours after the holidays. We remain open 7 days a week. We know that our customers generally do less shopping in January. They're getting caught up after the hectic and expensive holidays - but need to know we're here if they need us! 

We also know that many of them love the January DEEP DISCOUNT time of year. Some even start shopping for next Christmas!
