The "older generation" thinks that pantyhose are the difference between dressing like a lady and not. But, in today’s fashion world, wearing flesh-colored hosiery would be like choosing a girdle over Spanx.
Modern-day fashionistas just say no. The divide is definitely generational.
Some older women say they just don’t feel "finished" without them. GenXers, however, have a different take. For them, the finishing touches are in the visible extras. They'd rather focus on envelope clutch bags, Mary Frances evening bags, T-strap spectator pumps, chandelier earrings, chunky jewelry, etc.
So, does wearing pantyhose really matter if you have to squint to see them?
We all know that they look terrible with open-toed shoes....so, honestly, what’s the point? What about fishnets? The answer is YES! Opaques? Absolutely. But pantyhose? What do you think?
